Dictionary Defanition
The dictionary says that human trafficking is where people are taken illeagaly from a third world country to a 1st world country to be exploited as a slave.

Pros & Cons.
Pros: THERE ARE NONE!
Cons: TOO MANY! Every thing about human trafficking is bad. People are becoming slaves and being told that they'll "have a better life" and "make money to send back to their families". Does this actually happen: No! These people end up cleaning house all day every day or becoming prostitutes. And they don't get paid; their captors get paid and then their captors torture their families when they screw up. If you think there is a pro to H.T then post it in the comments and you had better have a good reason.

More good news continued.
Anuradha Koirala, a woman in Nepal has been educating thousands of women and children about the probelms with human trafficking and how they can avoid being kidnapped. She also educated them in ways to have a better quality of life. She deserves the award that she has recieved but I fear for what these criminals will do to her when they find out what she has done. This is Dutchie, have a nice day.

MORE good news!!!
http://www.cnn.com/video/#/video/living/2010/11/26/cooper.backstage.koirala.cnn This video is about a woman who was honored by CNN with the hero of the year award by educating people in poverty about how to avoid being put into prostitution.
Good news!!!
Good news !!!!!
On Jan. 7 a gang running a human trafficking racket was busted and five people were arrested. This included 2 Bangladeshis and 1 Nepali nationals. This gang trafficked Nepali, Bangladeshi and Sri Lankan nationals into Saudi Arabia, Austrailia, Afghanistan and Latin American countries. The police have seized many passports and visas and other incriminating documents. Things like this are good to hear. I'm happy to say that this is the progress that is good to see, traffickers are being caught and people are being saved from lives as slaves. This is Dutchie signing off.

Statistics.
Here's some statistics on the percentage of people being trafficked and the continents where most of them come from:
12% of the people are men,
66% are women, and
22% are children.
The three main continents that they are taken from are:
East Europe, Asia, and Africa.
As you can see most of the countries in the continents these people would be taken from are third world countries with high poverty levels and low employment rates.
